Active shooter or threat suspects are bent on killing as many people as quickly as possible in most cases. Knowing how to react in a targeted violence situation can increase your chances of survival.   This interactive online course will teach you about various types of targeted violence. You will learn how to improve your chances of survival by preparing for targeted violence. You will also learn about the precautions for targeted violence and the indicators and traits to look out for so you'll know what to expect in various situations. Finally, you'll be trained on how to react to targeted violence by identifying roles and responsibilities and relaying communication effectively so that you can calmly interact with first responders.

Sexual harassment is a form of employment discrimination prohibited under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VII prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. In this course the student will be learning how to recognize sexual harassment, what to do when it happens, how companies should respond with policies and procedures to protect their employees from this type of behavior.

Without the right information and training, even the most minor incidents can erupt into big problems--complete with costly litigation fees and a possible PR nightmare. In 2005, California bill AB 1825 mandated that: All California employers with 50 or more employees must provide two hours of sexual harassment prevention training to their supervisors and managers every two years, starting in 2005.   The California Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) recently established new regulations interpreting AB 1825. These new regulations specify the requirements of the sexual harassment prevention training which employers with 50 or more employees must provide to their supervisors and managers [FEHC Regulations (CA Code of Regulations, Section 7288.0).   This course provides two hours of sexual harassment prevention training to office supervisors and managers working for employers in California with 50 or more employees. Scenarios and example situations office workers may face are discussed in this course, in addition to proper management strategies for handling sexual harassment in an office setting. This course meets the content requirements stipulated in FEHC Regulations, Section 7233.0. (c) including amended regulations. The FEHC Training and Education Content Requirements Section 7233.0. (c) is located in the Appendix of this course.

This 1-hour interactive online course is for the newly promoted supervisor, but is valuable to experienced managers as well.
